Bio-Statement: I was born in Northern New Jersey in 1966 and received my undergraduate degree in Architecture from Lehigh University and my Masters degree in Architecture from New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Building forms have always interested me and are the primary inspiration for my work. Since I was an undergraduate at Lehigh University, where I was surrounded by the Bethlehem Steel Mills, I've explored my inner ‘factory' with the goal of creating a visual language that expresses my theories of art and life. |
Materials: My primary mediums are Oil and Alkyd although I have also worked with Acrylic, Egg Tempera and Gesso. The supports I use are both canvas and panel. I tend to use a support that suits my vision best. If I am looking for an image to have a rougher surface I prefer the weave of canvas to give it more ‘tooth', and; if I am looking for a smoother surface like that of a chalkboard, I prefer to use panels made of either hardboard or masonite. |
Reproductions & Prints: All my work is original. It represents a creative timeline that reflects many subtleties of my artistic, personal and professional development as an artist. This timeline is not only a reflection of the ideas I am working on at the time but is also a record of the personal and professional events of my life. In being true to the work, I don't make prints of my work. |
